Double Gets!

I've been counting down the days because I knew it would be coming.  I seriously checked the mailbox five times.  It is like a mini birthday for me.  I should of known that the picture I would get would have Jurina in it.  All the singles so far have resulted in the same, but there is always a silver lining.  The last one also featured Aki-chan who I adore.  And this time is no exception.  I get both Tomo~mi and Matsui Rena.  It will be a great reminder of the W Matsui in a Tub.  I feel somewhat bad that I got a ticket for their handshake event, considering I won't be going.  There is something else with Oshima on it, and I'm not sure what that is about.  I, as you can see, got Type A again.  It is nice to see that an actual AKB48 got a solo cover for once.  I wonder if they'll do it for every senbatsu now.  I'll just have to wait a little bit longer to hear the first day sales result.

I knew this would show up the same day!  The nice thing, besides saving my cash, is that the DVD works on my DVD player.  The sad thing about AKB48's albums is that they are basically a singles compilation.  I think it would be interesting to see an album with about four recent singles and then some new songs that aren't from a stage.  You know, shuffle the members around a bit, without needing to shuffle the teams.  Just a thought. 

Dance de Bakoon! PV and Review (C-ute)

Good News: Tsunku divided up the solo lines this time, at least more so than Shock.  When I saw the outfits and covers for this single I was pretty excited.  I loved Airi's single, Shock, and I thought their last one was okay.  The outfits, combined with the song title, gave me an impression that it would have some Latin undertones.  Then I saw the promotional video.  Hmmm.  I don't care for the song and I think the PV makes it worse.  It is so clear, that I have no idea why they didn't change it, that there is too much editing and special effects.  The dresses for the cover don't match the background or the song.  I also don't like the costumes for the dance shot.  Why would you put this heavy, baggy top on girls that have nothing hide.  The whole group got pregnant?  I would be okay if one had it, but them all wearing it and doing the runway walk; I just don't get it.  Dance shot and PV backgrounds tend to be very simple anyway.  All the computer generated background in no way helps this PV.  The sound of the song for the parts I like sounds typical, but good.  However, the whiny/ sassy, rock and roll, thing does not work.  I've enjoyed it before.  It does not work in this instance.  Now I also do not like the girls sharing the mic for the close up.  I think it looks bad.  Tsunku has disappointed me again, because the girls' voices sound great. 

Isn't It Interesting

So... I love when people ask me what I am listening to.  It is pretty much always AKB48 or Morning Musume or something along those lines, but to make it more understandable to a regular person: Japanese pop music.  What is the next question?  Oh, so do you like anime/ manga?  Do you know what else I've observed?  The people who like Japanese, in the States, are usually into anime/ manga, and are somehow related to LGBTSQ&ct.  Japanese camp is basically a combo of gay and anime camp.  I wonder what Japanese people think when they see them. . .  (Just some observations)

Bow Down To MARU Music!

I was thrilled the day Morning Musume and other Hello Project artists' CDs were available on iTunes.  It saves a ton of money on importing.  However, iTunes lacks the actual CD.  Well, AKB48 fans may have something better: MARU Music.  They have released AKB48's latest album in the United States!  That CD would of cost me over $30!  But thanks to my new friends, I got it for under $20!  Under three dollars shipping (still under $20).  I might cry.  The only thing is that I don't see any singles or other AKB merch being released by them at the moment.  Good news is that they do sell a ton of merch by other artists (mostly visual kei and lolita artists).  If they only release the albums it may be good enough because albums cost a ton!  I would like to see more on their online store, at least in the future.  I have to pay more for each single than this CD, which feels like a crime because this has five times more packaged in it.  Maybe other fans in the states should email them (wink wink*).
