I was happy to see that they did, at least, get a DVD. After the jump I will post the videos so you can watch them with subs. I might also include some thoughts along the way.
Wow, they are both gorgeous in their yukatas. One thing I hate about them leaving is how entertaining they both are. Lin Lin is throwing out puns and jokes. Jun Jun is either playing the opposite character or playing along. You guys should join SDN48! They have a Chinese member too! Don't leave me! Is Tsunku an idiot? He better be planning to form some Chinese group with them in it. Lin Lin is really pretty, funny, well-spoken, an amazing singer, so I don't know how, as a producer, he can let her walk away. Then again, he never utilized her talent except for that Chinese song. Now Jun Jun isn't as great as Lin Lin in terms of singing, but I adore her. "My Japanese sucks..." made me smile. Kamei Eri's message was sweet. I like the fact that the Pandas now just speak weird Japanese (reading too much manga are we?). Oh god Jun Jun, I think we would say the same things. After watching the VTR the first thing Jun Jun says is: "She called us weirdos." Jun Jun is so sassy! You can tell that Lin Lin doesn't want to graduate. She keeps on saying how much she loves Japan and Hello Project. Maybe they should stay in Japan and try to be talents on their own, or together if they wanted to. They've always fit in quite well with TV personalities. Yep, I think Jun Jun and I are soul sisters.
Mitssi mentioned tea, so now I am craving for some Bubble Tea. Wait, what, JUN JUN! Jun Jun have you been sleeping with your girlfriend's little sister/ best friend?!? I don't think they needed to segments with Mitssi. LIES! Reina since when do you consider Jun Jun your mom? Reina thought Lin Lin was hitting on her, lol. Reina always has good stories. Reina is starting to remind me of Yuko (first leader). The yankee appearance and a sharp tung (and scary). Oh my god, Reina would make a great leader. That was so sweet what Reina did for Lin Lin.
Oh it seems that only the first three parts have been uploaded. Sorry!

I Miss You Morning Musume

I still want to see Niigaki and Ms. Takahashi graduate because until that day Morning Musume doesn't stand a chance at evolving. I think Reina would make a good leader and she still looks young and fresh, so she would make a good transition into a new era. I think it is sad the Pandas are being forced out considering they never got a chance at the line-light. They may of decided themselves that it was best to get out now, but LinLin's blog hints that it wasn't her decision. I'm surprised Tsunku didn't use them for more attention because they had potential to be TV personalities like Shige-chan. Shige (Michishige Sayumi) should also get more of a push. I know she isn't the best singer or dancer, but she appears in a lot more outside work than most girls (magazines, TV shows, &ct). What really got me depressed about the current line up was watching Fashionable, their new musical. Of course it focused on Ms. Takahashi, but beyond that it was boring. There weren't any good songs at all either. (I must admit I wouldn't enjoy any songs if Ms. Takahashi sang them.) I liked the concept of something fashion related because I adore Japanese fashion, but I was severely disappointed. It did remind me (and her recent trailer) that I still can enjoy Niigaki's presence. The plot was partly to blame, and the fact that the group numbers were pathetic. Morning Musume's recent single made a good fit for the musical, and I actually enjoyed its place there. (It is still not good enough to be a single.) I wish the plot was more about the conflict among women. Even a shallow bullying plot would of been better; I'm a sucker for those. It seemed the conflict between the members left something to be desired. I also expected that the members would be closer to equal footing during a musical. It just reflected the similar state of the group. Shige-chan got some good screen time, but I think that partly comes from her station as a TV personality. Just saying. (I am watching their DVD from when they went to LA and so far it is pretty interesting. It makes me miss the members, but soon that will change.)
Now last but least, I will summarize and maybe share my thoughts on a recent appearance of Shige-chan on a TV special. She appeared with another Morning Musume member, but no one currently in the group. The one thing I have to say is that I wish the other segments, besides Shige-chan's, were subtitled as well. It was a two hour special, which is hard so I understand. However, the focus sounded interesting and Sayaka (AKB48) was present. They didn't even subtitle the showdown that we hear about. I do think this is one of my better summaries, if I do say so myself. It is more than just captions.
Usa-chan PEACE! Wait isn't there a day for that like every month? I need to check my post on Usa-chan Peace Day.
They are talking about girls who act differently in front of men than women and ones that don't get along. Basically, it is about women who are cute and have issues with other women. She is talking about how she tries to eat small food or small bites in front of men. I find these open talks fascinating. Not only because of the humor and watching my darling Mikitty and Shige. (For some reason every time I hear Shige I think butt, maybe because it sounds like shake a bit.) Also because they not only reveal things about Japanese culture you wouldn't always find out until you went there, and general human behavior and communication. AP Psychology was a good class. Shout out to Mr. Ray (that doesn't read this).See! She explains the reasoning because she thinks it is cute and that concept of cute derives from anime which is two dimensional! I just thought this would make an interesting essay or example in a thesis about anime or cuteness (LOL).
There is the same old fun of people being shocked by Sayu's behavior. This one is particularly delicious because you don't only have Mikitty's and the other women's honest reactions but reactions by the guys that don't consider her cute. Of course, I think Sayu is cute. She isn't just cute because of her looks, which aren't off the charts but I wouldn't consider average either. I think cute comes more from behavior and how you present yourself. Amina Sato isn't the cutest girl on the block, however the combination of her eyes, long hair, style, and mostly her voice and behavior. It is more about personality; looks do help though.
Mikitty, my favorite frank OG, is acting as one of the hosts. I have to say her voice sounds higher than it used to be.
Look, Shige is even cute embarrassed. See how her pinky sticks up slightly and how you can see her delicate wrist. (Tip for being cute for women: wear your watch on the inside of your wrist/ the opposite side of how you would usually. Yes, it is harder to show off in general if your watch is nice. The trick is that when you look at your watch you will accent your wrist which shows off femininity.) Mikitty was talking about the same subject, but this humanizes Shige. She isn't perfect and has the same trouble most women have about weight. I still can't understand how Japanese women hate her so much. All I see is the act of being a TV personality, even if you don't find it entertaining wouldn't you be able to understand it is for entertainment purposes?Look of that positioning. I guess Sayu is someone who is naturally cute.
Oh come on. Even her little profile pic for this special is unbelievably cute!
Next is Ms. Takahashi behind the scenes info about Shige. It states that Sayu is actually really quiet backstage and when asked about it she says that she wants to save/ not waste her charm or energy. (along those lines) Shock and astonishment by the other celebs. I knew Sayu was a quiet person. If you have to put on an act all the time I bet you would be quiet. Yes, I am sticking with my theory that Sayu is misunderstood and that she wants to be an idol really badly so she makes herself a character for attention. Even with her being a personality she doesn't get much in Morning Musume. I think this character gives her more push than the agency and Hello! Project gives her (even within H!P). A story about Mikitty and Sayu being themselves.
I do think that Sayu is a naturally cute person, either that or she really knows how to put all the details into her performance.
Now I don't know if this is a twisted story that she includes to project the character, but if it is it is a nice touch. This would be something that would make me think poorly of Sayu. This goes back to my theory that she has had issues with bullying and that she is lonely. There have been polls done saying that she is one of the most hated people by women in Japan. (Maybe not the most reliable statistic, but it was announced on TV.) I bet she is really lonely, plus all those trolls on her blog can't be good for your self esteem.

Kamei Eri and the Pandas Graduate
I logged in today to mostly wish Johnson a happy 29th birthday. (Happy Birthday Johnson!) I've missed a couple of birthdays because I've been busy or on vacation. Out of habit, the first thing I do is check to see if anything interesting is being talked about on the blogisphere. I was shocked by the spam of posts about three members leaving Morning Musume. Three! I was waiting for one or maybe two. I never actually thought JunJun and LinLin would leave at the same time, considering their age difference among other things. Most people didn't see this coming looking back at the poll that I did. This is what you get when you don't give enough time to each girl. Kamei Eri, however, has a different reason. While the pandas return to China, Kamei Eri will be recovering with a skin condition that she has been dealing with for some time now. It is called atopic dermatitis.
Eri Kamei will graduate from the Morning Musume。 and the Hello! Project on the last day of the Morning Musume。Autumn 2010 concert tour. As for her activities after that, I intend to discuss with her after her full recovery.
About the graduation of Eri Kamei, 6th generation member
Eri Kamei came to me several times regarding her health condition. One time, she said to me : "I would like to find the time to cure the atopic dermatitis that I'm suffering from".
Since the time she joined the Morning Musume。, it looks like she was dealing with symptoms like itching and slight skin color changes. She took medication to calm the symptoms down and she also used make-up to cover it but during live concerts, there is a lot of sweat and many outfits to put on, which made her recovery very difficult.
Some may say it is "just a skin problem" but according to doctors, an external problem like skin problem may move to an internal level. It may as well have an impact on her spirit, her mental level. Also, for her, it is a serious thing so she decided to focus on her recovery instead of letting it continue.

About the graduation of Jun Jun and Lin Lin, 8th generation members (foreign students)
In May 2005, both of them joined the Morning Musume。as foreign students and today, while being skilled singers and entertainers, they also greatly improved their japanese proficiency and they are now grown-up women. This is why I took the decision to graduate both of them at the same time as Eri Kamei on the last day of the Morning Musume。Autumn 2010 concert tour.
After graduation, they will enter a period of preparation before focusing on their singers and entertainer career in China.

Morning Musume。 Producer
Tsunku♂
Finally they are holding auditions for the 9th generation. I don't know why they waited so long, as if they didn't care about the group. It was like a plateau period. The group was on the same note, with no new progress. It was like Morning Musume minus Kusumi. The sad thing is, they are only excepting girls from ages 10-17. Luckily Mittsi is still close to the max. They have to be careful about the ages. If they pick up one girl towards the max, it is just another Mittsi. If they pick up one or more towards the minimum then the whole tone of the group will be at war. A whole bunch or young women and a couple of girls. It would not work. The best thing for the group is to pick up a variety of ages all across the board. Just think about it. They can up four just to get back at nine, but Morning Musume once had 16 members. One will just not due.
My feelings? To be honest, I've detached from this group. When I heard Ono Erena was leaving, I was crying. Even if this was Sayumi Michishige I would care, but I wouldn't cry. It is the same feelings I have towards C-ute and Berryz. I care about the members; I like the music. I've just lost my passion. I was shocked about three members, and happy to hear about the auditions. I just hope this is a sign of a turn around.

Hello Project Top Ten Explanation
I've been pondering that I have been showing too much attention to AKB48. I want to even it out a bit. Here is my reasoning why which girls are in my top ten. And I'll even explain why other members ended up in the bottom five in my next post!
#10 ~ Suudou Maasa
She seems to be very natural and average. I don't know much about her because she isn't really pushed as a front girl, but she always catches my eye. I like seeing her on stage, but she doesn't stand out in photos.
#9 ~ Mitsui Aika
I want her to be further up, but she doesn't get enough attention. Now, her hair is iffy. Right now, it is average and okay. The hair style in this picture is perfect. I love her feisty and puppy like behavior. She has so much potential, but it is getting lost in the back. Especially if you've seen her in a swimsuit. Every time she appears, during the small moments that she talks, I think she is adorable. Plus, she is laid back and her (talking) voice is cute as a button.
#8 ~ Sugaya Risako
This is the one I want to switch with Aika, which isn't the best thing to start off with. Lately, she has fallen a bit in my eye. She is beautiful, and not thin like the majority of front girls. Her voice, even if I'm the only one, I think is intoxicating. I am continually surprised by her young age. Plus, her teenage pout in cute.
#7 ~ Natsuyaki Miyabi
She can sing, dance, and has wonderful stage presence. The one, and only, flaw, that I can see, is her face-shape. You have to admit, it is hard to find a flattering picture of her face. Her body is easy. She looks fine on stage, and I never get bothered by her horse-face there.
#6 ~ JunJun
She is funny, sexy, and is a wonderful pairing subject. It is also unfortunate that she doesn't get any push by Tsunku. I want to say that she is my number two and that Mitsui is also above Eri but they don't get enough time in the front. I believe that if she was moved further up she would be in at least in my top five, even top three!
#5 ~Tsugunaga Momoko
The spaz child! She is very cute, but with adult body. When it comes to looks, she is basically the front girl version of Mitsui! Her body has grown up! (that butt!) Her voice is not bad either.
#4 ~ Yajima Maimi
The c-ute girl with the short hair. I only started liking her this year! I think her hair is at a weird place now. Tsunku must not of liked it because it seems she is growing it out. She looked great with long hair, but if you want to stand out short is the way to go. (If you are pretty enough to pull it off.) I really do love her deep voice.
#3 ~ Kamei Eri
The idoit member of Morning Musume. She is extremely charming, and I love her hair color. It is nice to see her being pushed to the front more. Her voice is so sweet too!
#2 ~ Tokunaga Chinami
I actually don't know much about her. It is sad being left in the back. I'm just drawn to her, and nothing about her ever turns me off.
#1 ~ Michishige Sayumi
You either love her, or despise her. She is sexy (evidence here). She is cute, excuse me, the cutest! I even like her voice. I think she is misunderstood a bit. I think her catch phrase, her being the cutest, is either to pull herself to the front (because Tsunku isn't pushing her there) or as a shield.
She knows she isn't the best dancer or singer so she needs personality because looks aren't good enough. No one in H!P is completely unfortunate looking. I think she doesn't have a ton of self confidence because of it. We all know that she does truly believe she is cute from the lie detector test on Utaban. I don't think that she thinks she is the cutest period. She has said that she thinks Rika is cuter. Now, why on earth do I think she has low self esteem? For one, I know at least Ai-chan hates her. Her reaction to not being liked, looks like someone who might not have amazing self confidence. (evidence here) Plus, those are just the times that I could find on YouTube! She has developed a thick skin because women hate her, and they let her know. Being loved by men is not enough.
She also works hard. She has gotten sick a few times, which I've learned from her blog. She also has to work harder because dancing and singing does not come as natural to her as it does to other members. She also has acne problems. You can't claim you are the cutest if you have bad acne. Therefore, she also has to work hard to keep up her appearance. On top of that she has to watch members who have been there just as long or even a shorter time than her being pushed in front of her. Keep Fighting Sayu!
