Minegishi Minami - Best Dressed of no3b

As they release more singles the outfits Minami Minegishi gets blow me away.  I just want to hunt down every single item and wear it.  In general Mii-chan and I are alike, personal style included.  I just wanted to do a post about it.  (I couldn't find any good shots of their recent single costumes.)

I never thought Lovetan leading a song would lead to a vintage track.  I'm still slightly worried.  I'm still thrilled that she is leading the song, even better than her making Senbatsu.  I don't know about all the wigs.  I don't think Mocchi looks good with short hair.  So, the PV preview was in the latest episode of AKBingo!.  (I haven't seen it yet.)

I’ve been with Erena since she entered so I didn’t think she would feel like graduating.

I was really moved since Erepyon is such a crybaby but she still managed to say the announcement in front of so many people while holding back her tears

but, I think she’s a smart child.


So, i wonder after she returns form studying aboard if her english will be fluent ♫

since the 16 year old Erepyon decided on this path herself, I think I’ll send her off with a smile.

I’ll treasure the little time I have left with Erena. Today I will try my best at the long awaited team K show!!

Heavy Rotation (Making) PV Preview (AKB48)

This one little behind the scenes preview has already gotten my blood pumping (in different ways).  I first have to say, from what I've heard of the song, I really dislike it.  The PV is now the only way it is going to get any better.  Ponytail No Shushu at first seemed okay, but it grew into one of my favorite singles (unlike RIVER which got worse the more I listened to it).  I don't like all the 'I want you' 'I need you'.  Maybe once I see the full PV and track it might grow on me.

The whole PV screams Oshima Yuko.  It is sexy, crazy (all over the place/ spazzy),  upbeat, girl on girl package.  I like the table scene and the covers already because it is like a combo of v u den, Marie Antoinette, and the swinging '60s.  It seems the cat theme is still around, which is fun.  It doesn't seem to dominate, so it'll just be a ton of fan service.  Unfortunately, the song itself doesn't sound the same.  I mean if it had dirty lyrics it would be an epic win (either like Kuchi Utsushi No Chocolate or Oshibe To Meshibe To Yoru No Chouchou).

 I of course already ordered a copy (type A).  I was seriously considering buying both again, but I need to save cash for future releases.  I automatically selected the non-solo cover because I want to look at Acchan's sexy ass (don't take literally).  The reason why I would purchase both is getting all the clips of them drinking juice (still don't really care too much about that), a chance at getting a picture I love, and I like the B-sides.  I always get okay pictures like with their travel pb (okay pic of Sayaka & someone I don't care about), then one of Aki (+) and Jurina (-).  A lot of people have been complaining about the CM tracks, which I love.  I like that 7-11 sounds like YMCA, plus the PV has pirates!  I also enjoy the odd track about veggies.  I am going to download it online anyway.  (If I didn't have to worry about shipping I would start collecting no3b single, especially the Minami Minegishi covers.)

I've already checked the forums for any new info.  (I was tricked by the joke that Tsunku had composed the song.)  They are all freaking out about the small peck that will hopefully make it into the PV.  Acchan kisses both Yuko and Takamina in the preview.  I would prefer that there be an actual make out session because they are already down to their skivvies (sales would for sure increase).

The dance shot looks lame and ever more spastic than the cats eating and lingerie romping shots.  I personally despise skirts that change length.  There is too much color and patterns in this shot, so that it seems to have no key color palette.  Hopefully they make outfits that are more like the sex kittens than keep these for the performances.  Do you also see that the girls are all just wearing socks, no shoes?

Aitakatta - How I First Learned of AKB48

If you recall I told you the first time I came across AKB48 was through Japanorama, a British mini-series about Japanese culture.  My response to that episode was how dare he say that about Utada . . . (sometime later) how dare he say that about Morning Musume and Ayaya!  Even after watching the segment about AKB48, and trying to learn more about the group, I never connected the dots.  They were too far apart, plus I took the Wikipedia entry a little too literally.  (If you didn't get that.  I watched the segment about AKB48 on Japanorama, which was the first time ever hearing of the group.  Later on I came across a YouTube video of Namida Surprise! PV that sparked my curiosity.  I didn't remember the Japanorama segment, which is important for what I'm going to say next.)  Well, what do I do if I want to learn a lot about something quickly (due to curiosity or interest) I read at least the summary of the Wikipedia entry.  What does it say in the summary about AKB48?

"AKB48 is an all-female Japanese theater/idol group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. Unlike other idol groups in Japan, AKB48 is theater-based and have their own theater in Akihabara (a district in Tokyo) where they perform once every weekday, and more than once on both Saturday and Sunday."

I thought 'theatre-based' meant they acted.  I didn't see their stages till later so I only saw one or two of their PVs.  It started with Namida Surprise! but I'm not sure if it was around the same time it was released.  Now what could of confirmed this misinterpretation?  (I didn't know what an idol group was then.)  I saw some clips of AKBingo!.  You know those reaction challenges mostly, where they all pretended that something was in the box or that their was wasabi in their sushi.  I thought 'Oh what a funny way to show off their acting skills.'  Are you laughing yet?  I of course haven't admitted this to anyone.  I just figured out I was wrong.  I can't recall exactly how, when, or how I felt about it.
