Friend, Foe, or Girl(boy)friend? (Week 1)

Basically the less offensive version of Marry, F#CK, or Kill.  You can think of it that way if you prefer.  We are going to start first with Buono! and No Sleeves.  (The two major sub-units from Hello Project and AKB48.)  My choices are after the break, enter your's into the comments. (Just for fun/ couldn't think of a better idea for a poll)

AKB48 Without Make~Up

Another story that I found while browsing Tokyo Hive, but lets start off with this delicious treat:

"Asamoto Sayaka, Sakai Tomomi, Kobayashi Kana, Satou Amina, Hirajima Natsumi, Masuda Yuka, Miyazawa Sae,"

 LOL!  It will air as part of Nemousu Season 4.  There will be a battle to see who can stay awake from 1:00 AM to 7:00 AM.  They'll be doing some nice relaxing 'activities' to help them fall asleep.  I missed the first half already.  (always behind)  I am definitely going to watch this because of the eight lucky ladies being featured.  I mean, what is not going to be funny about this group?

ENK48!?!

Oh this is all talk, but not rumor talk.  Just Tsunku talking about his next big idea.  It turns out Tsunku, who has produced some enka songs, would like to form a rival group of AKB48 that would sing only enka.  But that's not all.  He said he would let them date openly!  He said this at an enka event, so it is nothing too serious.  Just something to laugh and talk about.  It is unlikely that Akimoto would give the license to use his concept as competition.  I've never heard a large group of enka singers, mostly solos.  Plus are we talking idols?

Takamina - Takahashi Minami's First Solo PB!

Well, people are excited.  I surprised that she didn't get one when she was younger considering how popular she is.  It is 1200 yen, but preordering isn't available yet for CDJapan.  The release date is set for 9/22.  There are already a couple previews floating around.  If you are not familiar with Takamina and photoshoots then you might be disappointed.  It may be swimsuit-less.  She has appeared in some two pieces, but she often has the most covered.  Personally I believe that it is about time, but then again Sayaka hasn't released one either.  With all the bad talk about AKB48's taste/ reputation I think this will be evidence partly against that.


I can tell you right now that I will not purchase this photobook.  Mostly because I won't have any income during the school year so I need to save my cash for the CDs.  The other reason is because she just irks me.  I think she is funny, she can be adorable, she looks great in some pictures.  I just can't help it.  Something about her bugs me.  It is no where near the strong (I'm going to punch her) feelings that I have towards Jurina.  I've noticed when I watch old concerts or stages she does not bother me in the least bit.  I actually like her a ton more.  I don't know.  At first, maybe it's the hair.  Or it is possible that she does the deer in the headlights/ crazy eyes more often now.

Since she is Aki-P's favorite, she will probably get the okay not too be too dirty or to show too much skin.  So for now enjoy the only good picture we have of Takamina's tush (and the most skin we'll likely ever see):

Morning Musume = love

So I may be one of the few that still finds Morning Musume one of the better groups. (Though I will not deny AKB48 nor any of the other girl groups out there of their awesomeness!)

I still find Morning Musume to be one of my favorite groups, Ai Takahashi has become a good leader (Even though she's hogging a bit of the spotlight) But I think that she's doing a good job leading the group. Their sound has changed a lot since the "golden age" of MoMusu and people see that as a negative, I, however, think that the group is just trying to adapt and grow to compete with not only other bands from Japan but the rising K-Pop influence!

As far as the older girls are concerned I'm placing my money on Ai and Risa graduating sometime after either the next single or the single after that. I hope that the leadership position will be given either to Sayumi, Reina or Eri seeing as they are the oldest. I think Eri's singing talent has been horribly unrepresented and I know that she's one of the stronger singers.

What I'd like to see as far as the group is concerned:
1. Tsunku brings in two to three new girls (starting Generation 9)
2. Ai Takahashi and Risa Niigaki graduate
3. Reina Tanaka becomes leader with Eri Kamei (or Sayumi Michishige) as sub-leader.
4. Reina, Eri and Sayumi graduate
5. Generation 10 is introduced
6. Leadership of the group falls to Aika Mitsui or Junjun (whomever of the two becoming the sub-leader)

Yes, Aika has quickly grown to be my favorite MoMusu!
