Takamina Winner of FACE OFF Tournament!!!

Congrats!  I knew that I had to save Bird for the final round if Takamina made it.  It was a hard fight.  W is a strong opponent, and that was my all time favorite performance of them.  The performance of Bird was not only a stage, but it was also back when she never bugged me at all.  She doesn't bug me anymore, but she is not making it into my top ten.  She didn't look spectacular in her close up shot in Ponytail no ShuShu PV.  It was a close one, she only won by one vote!  I am a bit surprised that W didn't win.  I don't know which one I liked more.  I am leaning towards W.  I am not sorry that Takamina won at all.  I still wonder why she never shows that much skin...

Should I do more of these?  What do you think?

Three-Way Tie, Who Will Win H!P Division?

Hello Division: Three way tie between W, GAM, and Morning Musume OG!
Now, why did you do this to me?  If I had more time before the AP Exams I would just let it run for another round, but I don't.  Let me think.  What makes a good performance in my opinion: when it is better to see the song live versus just listening to it.  This makes things easier.  First off the list is Morning Musume OG.

Why would I pick them first?  The Golden Generation? How dare you!  The songs are better, they are better idols, but it sounded, for one, just like the CD version.  The performance in itself didn't add anything to it.  Besides that, the costumes and staging was, well, not spectacular.



Oh, now this is hard!  W and GAM are very different, but in theory the same.  W is adorable and throw up rainbows.  On the other hand GAM is sexy and have strong voices.  W is not as strong in the vocal category but they bring more to their performance.  I guess, by my definition, W should win.  However, wouldn't the vocals trump everything.  Then again, W's voices are good their are just higher.  I guess I am going to pick W.  What?  I was routing for GAM!  Sorry girls.

Well this again.  I do love Mayuyu, but I have to give this over to Takamina.  Her voice is just unbelievable.  Mayuyu did a good job, but her voice was overshadowed by one of the other girls.  (Takamina looks ten times better with her hair dark and not in that ponytail/bow thing.)

This means that she is the winner of her division!  Therefore, here is an extra performance!

They got four of the six votes.  At first I thought Ayaya deserved to win, but then I watched them again.  Her voice was great, as always, but there wasn't anything too exciting about it.  Morning Musume OG always do a nice job, however I think they have more energy these days.

It seems I am pretty influential in these polls.  If I happen to mention that someone is behind they'll get at least one or two more votes.  Now, I am pretty pleased that Takahashi Minami won.  (Not that Maeda has fallen at all in my rankings.)  There is a reason why Takamina is the voice of AKB48.  (Sorry got distracted by watching the Daily Show.)  I still prefer Acchan's performance.  I am a bit surprised that only one person voted for SDN48.  That was some performance!

Well, there have been plenty of winners and failures so far.  It is almost to the end of round two.  If you have no clue what is going on check the label 'face off' to catch up.  I've tried to think ahead, which one should I save in case they make it.  I want them to get better as they proceed.  It might also be nice to get a second look, in case you were not too familiar with the girl or group. Not this again. This tie is harder for me. I picked two songs that are very similar, at least in my eyes. I personally rank Myao higher than Mayuyu, but she is so hypnotising. I think I am going to let Mayuyu continue on to round three.

I've yet to hear, well technically read, any nominations for the special insert. With the lack of votes, I am going to assume no one read it or paid attention. I'll say it again. The Hello Project Division got a special round, so AKB48 will too. This is different! You can nominate to bring someone back or new in, in the comments. If no one is nominated by the end of the H!P poll there will be no add in!

On To The Next Round

This will only have one poll at a time, and may have as many as three challengers.  I am going to give the people the option for Division48 to revive someone or bring someone in.  There will only be one add in, three face offs instead of two (one with three challengers).  If no one is nominated we will continue on as planned.  If there is only one nominated they will go up against SDN48.  If more than one is nominated, then there will be a poll to decide who will be added.  This surprise is because the Hello Division got the special face off.
