I'm pretty happy with the results this time. Namie definitely had my favorite of the bunch. I was surprised by how well Mano Erina did considering I never hear good things about her from H!P fans. I'll let you know after the results who I voted for from now on. I voted for Namie Amuro, Mano Erina, and EXO-K. If you had trouble deciding last time, this is going to be harder.

Honestly guys, are you voting for your favorite group or who you thought did a better job? I'm only questioning your honor because the groups popular with my readers win. Although that means there are a good amount of K-Pop fans who participate, which is great. Remember guys, you get only one chance to vote, but you can vote for three different videos! I've noticed singular votes. I'm not upset that Berryz won, sure there were some things I would of liked to be different. I also don't love the song. But, I adore those costumes and I'm interested in Berryz again. While, Momo is not the center she is definitely bringing the most attention. My female friends from Japan can only name her out of all the members, the same goes for Michishige and Morning Musume. Being a variety idol is really helpful if you want air time.

Arashi won by a pretty good margin. Personally, I think Big Bang put in more effort. Yet, I get why Arashi beat them. They really know how to work the camera. Now that I think of it, Big Bang reminds me of Arashi. They both have a great assemble. When it comes to both groups even if I don't like their music I gravitate to them.

Not a bit surprised that Mayuyu won the poll. For one, I didn't love anyone in particular (I had critiques on all of them) but also because I'm confident there are a bunch of biased readers. The production value on Mayu's was good.
My favorite PV for this week has to be ORANGE RANGE's, and my least favorite goes to KAT-TUN. I'm planning on using my three votes for miss A, ORANGE RANGE, and finally DAZZLE VISION. I have a suspicion that Momoclo (without Akari) will do well in this poll. The reason why I don't like it, besides the song, is that the concept doesn't make sense. It is just a hodge-podge of things with just the excuse it is science fiction style.
So we first see the girls on the moon with glowing eyes so either their robots of some kind or have super powers, and one is playing the electric guitar for a couple of seconds. They never reintroduce the playing instruments. Yeah it is a cool shot but am I to believe these are cylon/ pirate/ rockstars on the moon? Please pick a couple and stick with it and we are only three seconds in. They fly around on bikes, but also can travel by floating, and their space ship or hub in the background also has wires that they connect to their heads. They can do the whole dragon ball thing and celebrate when Reni starts floating away even though they've already done it. WTF! What does pirates have to do with any of this? There is a significant lack of pirate-lack activity, so why aren't they wearing futuristic outfits. Pillage a plant. Give them some swords. Just because you can put babies, kitties, sparkles, Russian Unicorns, dragons, cylons, singing policewomen, and coffee in a PV doesn't mean you should. They could of done plenty with the bikes, space travel, and pirates to make a great PV. I dig doing something different and all but that doesn't mean you get a pass on doing it well.

Forever Alone PV (0 votes): Lead's Wanna Be With You
Jeez, half of the time I'm not sure if you guys are just voting for your favorite artist or because you really like it. I'm surprised that Lead didn't get any love I thought it was really good; I liked it better than Miryo's video that got four votes. When I took an earlier look at the results I was concerned because Selection 6 (AKB)'s Sweet & Bitter was aiming for second place. I know a lot of good gifs came out of it, but it was vanilla.
This Week: To be honest I was quite disappointed. Most of these PVs were pretty good or were on the right track but one thing or another happened and ruined it for me. I hesitantly say Passpo had my favorite MV. Their dance shots were flawless and the small storyline shots in theory were good the acting was way too cheesy for my taste. However, the twist at the end saved it for me. My least favorite is definitely Ailee's MV. The editing is overdone you would think the editors thought she was ugly or something.
I'm a lazy person who is busy with classes and having a life, so I've kind of stopped reviewing PVs. I know I'm horrible person. I'm procrastinating a lot of things including an essay that is being peer-edited tomorrow. I like voting in polls on other blogs so I thought it would add a little something. The twist is I will share my top picks (and maybe my least favorites) and you guys can vote for your favorites. The next time I spam you guys I will reveal the results. So yep.
My favorites are Miryo's Dirty, IU's Last Fantasy, and ChoColat's One More Day. My least favorites are After School's Rambling Girls, Twilight's Twilight, T-ara's Roly Poly, and Nogizaka46's Guru Guru Curtain.

Two promotional videos were released by large idol groups. One I thought was okay, and the other I really liked it. Take a look before I review and compare the two. (AKB48's is slightly slower to avoid copyright.)
AKB48 takes the original concept of Ponytail no Shushu and inserts a pinch of all their other PVs. If you are an AKB fan you get to play a game of recognize the PV, however the rest are kind of left out. Now, I have high expectations coming into it. I loved the song because it was fun to dance to and infectious. Plus, for at least the last year their PVs have been pretty outstanding. Sure nothing is perfect, but AKB was definitely reaching for it. They also started hiring well-known directors and choreographers. But, I am quite disappointed. I don't even care for any single part of this PV, not the close ups, not the storyline, nor the dance shot. Maybe the fact that they incorporated so many different PVs made it okay, but the storyline is all over the place. I don't know what is going on or why anything is happening. Just think about the non-AKB fans going 'WTF was that?' Huge bonus that they worked in more girls, but that is overshadowed by the fact that the dance shot and choreography is mild. I'm going to have to watch that dance routine over and over again.
Don't judge me! This is just plain, stereotypical, male-targeted fan-service, which part of me wants to say is horrible. At least try not to be obvious about it, present a concept as to why they are playing around in swimsuits, seifuku, and yukata. Don't you want some female fans? Oh by the way, "they want it anytime, they want it anywhere," REALLY,no really I know you were talking about them wanting to have fun but everything else kept telling me it was the other thing. Wait, what was that? Don't make it obvious that you are just trying to make your boobs look bigger, no random squishing them together. However, despite all the ridiculous fan-service I loved it. The girls were adorable, and they added in small elements of humor. The PV sells the song, which is my determiner of whether it is a good PV or not.
Surprise, I thought SUPER☆GiRLS made a better PV than AKB48, and I'm not even a guy. See, I am not biased enough to say an idol's group 2nd PV is better than my favorite's 21st. Both had a concept, and neither of them were good. However, the cliche one might be a cliche for a reason. Actually, that is not it, they just were more charming. That is amazing because I don't know a single one, AND I like AKB48's song better. FAIL. Sayaka won the poll for who I should vote for. I haven't bought the single yet. When I arrive in Japan I will see if I can grab a copy. Unfortunately, your votes did not sway me. Acchan got second, but then her appeal video was a complete fail boat so. . . Minami Minegishi! (Unless my Miorin friends don't talk me out of it.) What do you think?

I have to say I got more votes than I expected. Have you guys been voting more than once? I am going to reset it after sharing the results and see if the results differ, for a couple of reasons. One, I want to see the legitimate results and because I've added options just a couple days ago. Once it is updated you can vote for two options. I would prefer you vote one for the topic (AKB48, Hello Project, K-pop) and one for the type (Rankings, Opinion, Reviews). I am going to add more specifics so I can get a good idea of what our readers like to see. Here are the first round of results:

Thanks for voting. I'm not floored that River won considering it was their break out single. I was surprised, but in an oh that is interesting way, that Seifuku ga Jama wo Suru second. I love that single. I guess the fanservice worked for the third single. I do wish more people voted because I think this provides a very limited perspective.
There are just a ton of ties for the third and fifth spot. I don't know if I'll get enough votes so that ranking them all would be possible, so I am just looking for a top 5. We all have that one idol, or more, that we can not stand! I thought it would be most interesting to find out who has the most haters. I'm pondering whether I should separate it to Hello Project and non-H!P. What do you think? Anyway, I can't just have an option for every current Hello Project idol. It is the dirtiest poster that I have. I think it is more filthy because it is hiding in the closet.
