There are the single costumes, but then there are the team outfits. The new stages are debuting, and so are the new uniforms. Thanks to AKBingo! and other appearances we've gotten a sneak peak.
The new and improved Team K. K's makeover still has it's darker, edgy image. However, the colors are definitely better than the classic's brown and 'green.'
Now the next stage that is coming up is Team B's. The little bows and the frilly sleeves prove that Team B will keep it's cute, youthful energy. Unfortunately, the old uniforms suit high tension songs better than the updated ones. These new uniforms are more of what you expect if Hello Project did a school uniform for a single or concert. They are inspired by high school unifroms, but the old costumes are much less evolved. But it is unlikely for the original to be mistaken for actual uniforms too, because of the extra pazazz.
As expected Team A were presented with the best interpretation. This is the best school-girl costume I've ever seen. I want one! This one I am the most excited to see on stage. As you can see from the original Team A, AKB48 has undergone a dramatic change. It may be from a bigger budget, fashion changes, or the fact that AKB has become more mainstream and successful. It is nice to see such great uniforms are for the stage and not for a single. This is even better than their single outfits. Seeing the girls wearing these during events and on TV is wonderful promotion for the fresh stages. Although, I think plenty of people would of just come to see the new line-ups.
