Instead of spending even more time thinking about AKB48, I decided to just do an estimate. So each stage has about 16 songs.
Total Team A: 16 x 6 = 96
Team K: 16 x 5 (subtract one because their first stage had the same setlist as A1) = 80
Team B: also 80
Himawari Gumi: 16 x 2 = 32
Stage Songs Total: 288 songs
Now for singles. Recently they've been releasing four songs for each single, but in the beginning they've only released two for each single. They've also released new songs in their albums, which mostly contain singles. So I am going to just estimate there are three songs for each single.
Singles Total: 17 x 3 = 51 songs
Overall Total: 288 + 51 = 339 songs +/-
But then when you think about it, Morning Musume's albums all include their singles. So how do they compare? (This is just a comparison to give people a better idea of how significant the above number is.) They've been around for a while. Yes they also have sub units and shuffle groups, but I didn't include those in AKB48's tally either. Just by stage albums AKB48 has already surpassed the number of studio albums released, although I don't know if these even go towards the Oricon charts. So basically how many songs does Morning Musume have?
10+12+12+13+13+12+12+6+11+13+12 = 126 songs
PLEASE NO TROLLING OR MEAN COMMENTS. I know if I compare any other idol groups, especially Morning Musume, people's claws come out. I hate having to make the choice to delete a comment, and I will. We can disagree and I don't mind that, although I don't think this is something you can disagree too much with. Just a friendly reminder.
