They are still rough around the edges, but full of potential. There are a handful of members that have been promoted to the front and have the talent to perform next to the front girls of the flagship groups. Young and energetic, they'll give everyone a run for their money, you just wait.
If you prefer C-ute...
You may prefer Team B of AKB48!
Team B is considered by some as the filler group, and C-ute the left overs from Hello Project Kids. However, they hold some of the front girls of Hello Project/ AKB48. They seem overall younger and naturally energetic. They lean towards cute songs, but at times bring out powerful tracks. They are not as outright sexy as the other groups and have been around the block longer then SKE48/Hello Eggs have. Of the main groups they are the most likely to be overlooked.
If you love Berryz Koubou...
You could also fall for Team K of AKB48!They possess a crazy amount of power behind their seemingly harmless appearances. They don't look or behave like the other front girls. However, they have the power to surpass them in popularity. They can be cute, sexy, goofy, or strong. Don't underestimate and idols everywhere should watch their back. They have a tendency to be violent!
If you favor Morning Musume...
You can add Team A of AKB48 to your favorites!They are the overall front girls. You get promoted to this group, only if you are worthy. They were here first. They tend to be the best looking, contain great singers and dancers. The power personalities, that aren't too strong, pass through here. However, some members rub fans the wrong way. Then again, those same members are worshiped by others.
If you can't live without the Elder Club (which would suck)...
You won't be able to live without SDN48! (which is a lot more convenient)
They are the misunderstood and original idols. They have the idols the make you wonder how they got past the auditions. These are the adults that don't hold back, in any format. If the front girls of the younger groups feel constrained and to cookie cutter to you, well these girls are just as talented and like a cup of strong coffee. Be warned some will scare you when they pop up on screen. You may be taken aback by their forward personality and sexiness. This is where the idols keep fighting after they graduate.
Disclaimer: The teams for AKB48 are not the current, but the old line-ups. I still don't know the new teams that well. However, SKE48, SDN48, and Hello Project are all current. For C-ute you can include the old members if you wish. The Elder Club no longer exists because they completely graduated, but you can ignore that. I thought I should do something fun for the tenth installment.
If you like all of morning musume, (past and present,) I would just recommend AKB48 as a whole. Cute and traditional is team B, like when the members first join or the very start of morning musume. Team K has the oddballs/ non traditional idols. Team A consists of the strong, but typical idols.
